Books and Bees

My honey harvest this year has just topped 200 lbs - it stands at 212 lbs currently That may be all I'm going to get this year - and from two hives it's not to be grumbled at. But if there are field beans at a bee-flight's distance there may be more to come. No obliging swarm has occupied my empty hive yet and I'm thinking I may have to buy a nucleus.
On Tuesday at 7.30 I'll be talking, with Sarah Savitt, to the Oxfordshire Publishing Society, in the Buckley building at Brookes University about Golding, biographies, writers, publishers and related issues.
